

Not much is known about Cloveleaf, Texas. In 1936, it was shown on a county highway map but no name was attributed to the development. It is located in Interstate Highway 10, right between Channelview and Jacinto City in the east central portion of Harris County.
It is thought that the town sprang up around a railroad station that was located on the Beaumont, Sour Lake and Western Railway line. For a time, it is thought that a post office existed around 1950, but not much more is know. However, in 1990, things began again for Cloverleaf, Texas and the population has now grown to over 18,000 people.
Currently, there are two elementary schools, a junior high and high school as well as eighteen churches in Cloverleaf. Its proximity to Houston makes it an ideal, quiet community for an apartment dweller looking to simplify. If you have plans to move to the Houston area, Cloverleaf has much to offer.
There are many different attractions located in and near Cloverleaf. The San Jacinto Battleground and the San Jacinto Monument are just minutes away and afford a unique glimpse at the history of the battle for independence from Mexico.
