Fifth Street is a small residential community that was begun in the 1980’s. You’ll find it nestled between Stafford and Missouri City, Texas, in the northeastern portion of Fort Bend County. It operates as a bedroom community and the majority of its 2,059 residents commute to Houston or other cities in the area.

Missouri City offers a rare look at historical sites that have been lovingly preserved. The Fort Bend Historical Society was started in Missouri City and remained active until the 1980’s. This group accomplished a lot, and you’ll be able to see some of the town’s most historic buildings just as they looked a hundred years ago.

There are also several parks and museums, rounding out the quiet community. Each year, you’ll be able to take part in the Oktoberfest and Snowfest, held in Missouri City, just minutes from your apartment. These festivals are well attended and offer a great diversion.

Houston is one of the largest cities in Texas and has many things to offer. If you need to work in Houston, but prefer living in a smaller community, Fifth Street is a great place to rent an apartment. You’ll be just a short drive away from some of the best attractions in Texas.

Astroworld/Waterworld is a family favorite and offers a great way to escape the summer heat, while having a great time. The Astrodome is another popular spot in Houston and was once known as the “eighth wonder of the world.” If you enjoy professional sports, the Astrodome is a great way to watch them, no matter what time of year it is.

The Sam Houston Race Park features horse racing from some of the best stables in Texas and around the country. If you enjoy quarter horse racing, this is one of the best parks in America. Dog racing lovers won’t be disappointed in Houston, either.

Golf courses abound in Fort Bend County and in Houston. If you enjoy playing the links, you’ll have to pick from some of the best and most challenging courses in the area. There are several country clubs and public courses where you can test your skills.

Houston is also home to some great restaurants and good, old-fashioned Texas cuisine. Once you’ve sampled the best food Texas has to offer, you’ll be ready to tackle the department stores, antique shops and specialty stores located all over the city.

Fifth Street offers the opportunity of living in a great residential community, while still being close to all that is going on in Houston and the surrounding cities.
