In Fort Bend County, TX, you’ll find Meadows Place, a suburban community that has around 5,000 residents. Meadows Place prides itself on being a safe community, one where “children can walk to school, play in the park or take a dip in the community pool.” The city shares its common boundaries with Sugar Land, Houston, and Stafford, Texas.

Meadows Place was incorporated in 1983 and its original name was the city of Meadows. However, there was already another city with this name in Texas and it was changed to Meadows Place in 1997.

Within the two square miles of land in Meadows Place, you’ll find many beautiful homes, apartment buildings, and over 12 acres of parks that have been developed with the community in mind. These parks are well cared for and offer residents a great place to relax outdoors.

The schools in Meadows Place are part of the Fort Bend Independent School District and the elementary school in town is an award winning institution. If education is one of your criteria for finding a new place to live, Meadows Place has a lot to offer your children. Once they have completed their elementary years, the children then continue on to Dulles Middle and High Schools.

Inside Meadows Place, you’ll find a Sam’s Club, Walgreen’s, a state bank, several restaurants, and car dealerships. This makes Meadows Place a truly self-sufficient community, even though Houston is so close. Many residential communities don’t offer their residents this kind of convenience.

There are many different events held throughout the year in Meadows Place. The town takes part in the annual National Night Out Festival, which is very popular with the residents. Every year, you’ll be able to take part in the Fun Run 2005 and the big 4 th of July Celebration.

As mentioned earlier, the parks in Meadows Place are very well maintained. This year saw a new pavilion go up in one of the parks and there are also new lighting features that were just installed. The jogging trail is safe and allows residents a place to get their exercise without undue worry. The town’s police department is always on the job and there is also a fire department, right in town.
