

Forty miles from Houston, at the junction of Farm Roads 2090 and 1010, lies the town of Plum Grove, TX. The town is situated in historic Liberty County, TX, and is just a short drive away from the town of Liberty as well.
The town is mainly a residential community and the majority of its residents commute to nearby Houston. It was incorporated in 1968 and would later become a voting precinct in 1973. During this time period, approximately 484 people called Plum Grove home. This number is now estimated at around 480 residents.
Liberty, TX is home to some exciting things to see and do. This town was originally settled as early as 1818 and played a large part in Texas history. There are many different historical sites and museums in Liberty where you can learn about the role it played in the fight for Texan independence.
The town was home to many of the freedom fighters and received a letter requesting help from William B. Travis in 1836, requesting their help in fighting the siege at the Alamo. The town would later house a prison camp for German prisoners of war during and after World War II.
Liberty is home to the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center, a state of the art facility and you’ll find the home of Governor M. Daniel Price, which was modeled to look like the original Governor’s Mansion in Austin, TX.
